Integration Ecosystem Overview

The Newgen platform enables smooth integration with other business applications via web services (REST and SOAP), leveraging its integration-ready architecture and support for a wide range of APIs, connectors, adaptors, and web services. API access controls govern individual APIs, offering XML-based controls for defining API calls, rate limiting, authentication, and authorization. Developers require a valid session token authentication to access applications through APIs, with support for gRPC protocol for high-performance Remote Procedure Calls (RPC). Multifactor authentication, including password and OTP-based login, is supported for accessing the Newgen platform, with session credentials sent in an API for login. Additionally, the platform seamlessly integrates with third-party API management solutions like Mulesoft, Zappier, and CloudElements through REST endpoints, ensuring compliance with OpenAPI specifications like Swagger for the exposed APIs. Additional API-based integrations and protocols available for utilization within applications developed using Low-Code Application Platforms (LCAP) include OData, FTP, SMTP and GraphQL. All the custom integration solutions are made of Java for backend development, React for frontend development, and Flutter for mobile-centric applications.
Automatic API Generation – In Newgen LCAP, the automatic generation of APIs includes Processes, Rules, Custom Business Functions, Service Flows, IDP, AI Models, Content, and Template APIs
Third-party Licensing – Third-party licensing adheres strictly to vendor policies. Integration with systems like SAP requires compliance with their Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) licensing. Similar regulations apply to other vendors, dictating API and technology usage.
